RealRec
Terms of Use
Effective date: June 17, 2026
These terms explain the rules for using RealRec, including accounts, verified media, public verification pages, and acceptable use of the service.
Who Operates RealRec
RealRec is operated by Hoverest AB, org.nr 5594118548. You can contact us at hugo@hoverest.com for questions about these terms, accounts, or content reports.
Using an Account
You can view the camera preview without an account. Creating verified media, publishing verification records, managing your library, editing your profile, and deleting account data require you to sign in.
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Do not use another person's account without permission.
Your Media and Verification Records
When you create verified media, RealRec may store the original media, verified exports, zoom test images, file hashes, capture metadata, upload records, and related verification logs so the media can be checked later.
You keep your rights to media you create or upload. By using RealRec to publish verified media, you give RealRec permission to host, process, display, and share that media and its verification data as needed to operate the service.
Only upload media that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for making sure your use of RealRec does not violate someone else's rights, privacy, or applicable law.
Public Verification Pages
Verified media may create a public verification page. Anyone with the link or content ID may be able to view the page, including the media, verification status, hashes, capture metadata, export history, and creator profile information you choose to provide.
Do not publish media through RealRec if you do not want it to be internet-accessible or associated with your account.
Acceptable Use
Do not use RealRec to upload, publish, or share content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, infringing, deceptive, or harmful to others.
Do not attempt to bypass verification checks, attack the service, scrape private data, impersonate others, or use RealRec in a way that misrepresents what the service verified.
What RealRec Verification Means
RealRec is designed to provide source proof and verification signals for media captured or published through the service. Verification does not guarantee that every claim made about the media is true, that the media is lawful to share, or that all manipulation can be detected in every situation.
Removal and Account Deletion
We may remove content, restrict access to verification pages, or suspend accounts if we believe the service is being misused, these terms are violated, or removal is needed for legal, safety, security, or operational reasons.
You can delete your account inside the RealRec app from Settings. Account deletion removes your account, profile data, uploaded originals, verified exports, public verification pages, and verification logs associated with your account, subject to any legal or security needs.
Service Availability
RealRec is provided as-is and may change over time. We may update, limit, interrupt, or discontinue parts of the service. We try to keep the service reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every use case.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as RealRec changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to make the updated terms available. Continued use of RealRec after an update means you accept the updated terms.
